Systems Integrator
Vanrx seeks a Systems Integrator with experience in the development and integration of automation software and systems to join our highly collaborative and talented team in Burnaby, BC. This position will develop, integrate, test and troubleshoot automation software and system in order to ensure that a quality product is built safely and on schedule.
Responsibilities:
Specific responsibilities for this position include:
- Design and develop process control software program specific to product requirements.
- Provide thorough testing of machine functionality to verify software program completeness during on-site integration.
- Working with the external software development group to implement custom control module in the standard control platform.
- Provide accurate documentation for each project
- Assist selecting, testing and integrating hardware and software components such as robots, analog devices, motion controllers, sensors, vision systems and lasers
- Assist R&D prototype and test activities.
- Commission and install project at customer sites if required.
- Train customer personnel on the operation and setup of machines if required.
- Ensure that all activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Vanrx Employee Manual.
- Adheres to all health and safety rules and procedures.
Qualifications:
- A post-secondary engineering degree, diploma or equivalent, specializing in electrical, mechatronics or similar.
Job Requirements:
- Strong programming skill in C/C++ and VB.Net.
- Good understanding in Robotics and Control System with hands-on experience is must.
- Experience in interfacing hardware through common industrial communication protocol (e.g. Modbus, OPC and etc.) will be beneficial.
- A self-starter with the ability to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision.
